Grand Lake
St. Marys is the largest inland lake located
entirely in the State of Ohio. It has an area covering
13,500 acres. Ohio Division of Wildlife District 5. |

Grand Lake
St. Marys is located in Mercer and Auglaize
Counties, flanked by the cities of Celina to the northwest
and St. Marys to the northeast. The entire lake is bounded
by state roads - State Route 29 is on the north side, State
Route 703 is to the south, and US Route 127 to the west.
It is just west of I-75 off of US Route 33. |

90 miles southwest of Toledo.
Approximately 90 miles northwest of Columbus.

Fishing
Opportunities |
This big
lake has good populations of Bluegill, Bullheads,
Largemouth Bass, Black and White Crappies, Channel
Catfish, Bullheads, Yellow Perch, plus an occasional
Northern Pike or Striped Bass. |
Boating
Information |
There are
many marinas around Grand Lake St. Marys.
There are boat rentals at many of these, so select one
that is near the spots that you want to fish. There is no
horsepower limit on the lake - but beware! The lake is
very, very shallow with an average depth of 5-7 feet.
There are many stump fields with appetites for boat
motors. A No Wake Zone extends 500 feet from shore. |
