Forked Run Lake Forked Run Lake is in Meigs County.
It has 107 acres, with 8.5 miles of shoreline.
Ohio Division of Wildlife District 4.
Location Forked Run Lake is located right next to the Ohio River.
It is just north of State Route 124, and also neighboring
the Shade River State Forest. It is virtually as far
southeast as you can be in Ohio.

Major Cities
Approximately 30 miles southwest of Marietta.
Approximately 90 miles southeast of Columbus.
Approximately 60 miles south of Zanesville.
Fishing
Opportunities
Forked Run Lake features Bluegill, Largemouth and
Spotted Bass and Channel Catfish. Plus, Saugeye
and Golden Trout are stocked.
Boating
Information
Boats can be launched from two ramps; one is an
improved ramp near the dam which features a boat
rental, and a small gravel ramp accessible off of Township
Road 272 provides access to the upper end of the lake.
The lake is limited to electric motors only.
State
Management
The Division of Wildlife activities include monitoring fish
populations, and physical and chemical water analysis.
